Hayden's 2nd Day

Hayden had a great night sleep. It is 9:34CST and he has been sleeping most of the morning. He just starting to move around and is showing that he has some good lungs. Hayden's surgery is scheduled for today @ 12:30 with Neurosurgeon's Dr. George and Dr Lee. Since the lesion in his spin is fairly large the Dr's say that is good as they will have a lot to work with to repair the birth defect. He has his CAT-Scan yesterday and his ventricles are fairly enlarged so they will be performing the brain shunt surgery. His surgery is expected to take about 2 hours. Our good friend Lei Streuling is a RT nurse here at Dell Children's Hospital. It was so good to see a familiar face this morning and that she will be helping with his transport down to the OR. Today he looks very good, feet/legs are moving quite a bit, color looks good and he is opening his eyes some more. Dr's said this morning that he is responding very well to everything so far.
