Driving me crazy or driving Mrs. Daisy

So when is it time to shop for a new car? We bought our GMC Envoy in 01. It is an 02 and today we hit 100,000 miles. It is paid off and running great. Just wanted to get your thoughts.

If its working great, then I'd think when it dies...Thats good its been such a good car for you!

I agree with Paige. You can start making car payments to yourself though. If you haven't already. That way when the car finally does die, you don't have to buy a car with payments!

I am all about using it till it breathes it's last breath, BUT I would SERIOUSLY start a savings plan for the new one :) That way when the time comes (that you know is coming) you will be able to pay way more cash, of not all cash and be SO MUCH BETTER OFF :) (I am also all about living as debt free as possible :) I can't tell you how much not having a car payment in my life, yet having a totally reliable car that I love, is a bleesing to my family!)
